The Electromechanical Workshop Ing. Antonio Rava was
founded in the year 1922 in Turin by the grandfather of the
current owners, and was incorporated as Elettrorava S.p.A.
in the year 1966, just after transferring it to the actual
factory in Venaria, with a total surface of 20.000 m2 of
which 8.000 m2 are covered.
The company has a long experience in the electromechanical
field, and from year 1922 to date, the company products have
been of different types, but all somehow related together.
The first products were small and medium size electric
motors, and electric drills. High frequency electric tools
were then introduced, like drills and grinding tools for
industrial applications. The high frequency converters
needed for driving these tools were then designed and sold
on the market.
A complete range of high frequency converters was then
developed with output frequencies from 10 Hz to 1500 Hz, and
these were supplied to many manufacturers of high speed
milling and grinding spindles. Elettrorava has then
manufactured and delivered to many customers special high
speed motors from 3,000 to 90,000 RPM, for many different
applications.

The continuous research and development activity, together
with the company growth, has allowed to introduce on the
market innovative products such as balancing machines in the
50’s, turbomolecular pumps in the 60’s, and thin films
vacuum deposition systems in the 80’s.
The continuous request of the market for being competitive
and specialised, has brought Elettrorava today to
concentrate his resources only on some product lines: the
actual production includes balancing machines, thin film
vacuum deposition systems and turbomolecular pumps.
The success and the reliability of Elettrorava
products has brought the company outside Italy: besides the
headquarters in Torino, a new factory in Barcelona Spain was
founded in 1994: Elettrorava Iberica Servicios S.L.
Today Elettrorava has a sales organisation operating
on the main national and international markets.
